Upgrade of Dundas Village Shops – Community Consultation
1 July 2021 at 8:00 am to 29 July 2021 at 5:00 pm
Council is upgrading Dundas Village Shops, on the corner of Station Street and Calder Road in Dundas!
The project is part of Council’s Better Neighbourhood Program, which is a long running and successful program focusing on the capital upgrades of neighbourhood centres outside of the Parramatta CBD. The program delivers improvements to centres with the goal of enhancing safety, vitality and economic prosperity.
Council sought the community’s feedback on possible improvements on the centre in late 2020. They heard that we wanted more open space, places to sit and relax, landscaping and to improve pedestrian safety. Proposed upgrades include:
- Street library
- ‘Dundas Village’ local shopping centre signage
- Watergum tree planting
- Brush box tree planting
- Replace sections of damaged kerb
- Raised traffic islands to improve pedestrian safety
- Directional arrows and carpark painted pavement marking
- Council will also assess existing lighting and upgrade to meet current Australian Standards as required.
Have Your Say
After reviewing the community’s feedback, Council is now asking for your thoughts on the draft concept plans to see if they got it right. They recommend you review the full draft concept plans in HERE.
Have your say before 5:00pm on Thursday 29 July 2021.
